Sometimes love requires courage.
Compassion alone is not enough when something is wrong.

Sheridan's death forced our family into a world we never wanted to know — a community of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and families whose loved ones were taken in tragedies they believe could have been prevented.

We call many of them Angel Families. Their stories deserve to be heard. Their children deserve to be remembered. And their pain should never be dismissed, politicized, or forgotten.
The Sheridan Gorman Foundation will advocate for policies that protect innocent people, strengthen public safety and accountability, and help prevent other families from enduring the kind of loss that changed ours forever.

Our advocacy will always begin with a simple belief:
Government has a fundamental responsibility to protect the people it serves.
When systems fail, we believe families have the right to ask why. They have the right to demand answers. And they have the right to expect better.

We will use Sheridan's story to advocate for meaningful change, to stand beside other families seeking justice and accountability, and to remind those in positions of power that behind every policy decision is a human life.
