The Courage to Stand
Compassion alone is not enough when something is wrong.

Sheridan's death forced our family into a world we never wanted to know — a community of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and families whose loved ones were stolen by illegal immigration and broken sanctuary policies in tragedies that could have been prevented.
​
We call many of them Angel Families. Their stories deserve to be heard. Their children deserve to be remembered. And their pain should never be dismissed, politicized, or forgotten.

The Sheridan Gorman Foundation will advocate for policies that protect innocent people, strengthen public safety and accountability, and help prevent other families from enduring the kind of loss that changed ours forever.
​
And when systems fail, we believe families have the right to ask why. They have the right to demand answers. And they have the right to expect better.
​
We will use Sheridan's story to advocate for meaningful change, to stand beside other families seeking justice and accountability, and to remind those in positions of power that behind every policy decision is a human life.
Our government has a fundamental responsibility
to protect the people it serves...our American citizens!

We can honor the people who come to this country lawfully, contribute to it, and strengthen the American story while still insisting that public safety, accountability, and the protection of innocent families remain non-negotiable.

And when policies fail, when warnings are ignored, and when preventable tragedies happen, courage means refusing to stay silent.

It means speaking for the families who can no longer speak without tears.
