Compassion in Action

SHERIDAN'S BENCH
You are seen. You matter.
Sheridan believed, often without ever having to say it, that nobody should feel invisible.
Through Sheridan's Bench, we hope to place Buddy Benches and other spaces of connection in schools and communities — places that quietly tell someone:
-
You are seen.
-
You matter.
-
You do not have to sit alone.
But the bench represents something larger than a physical place to sit. It represents the choice to notice. The courage to walk toward someone instead of past them. The willingness to make room.
We will also support acts of kindness and community projects that reflect the way Sheridan lived: looking for the person who needs a friend, helping without needing recognition, and leaving people a little better than we found them.
