There are young people everywhere who are kind when no one is watching.

• The teammate who lifts everyone else up.

• The friend who notices when someone is struggling.

• The young person who chooses compassion when indifference would be easier.

We want to find those kids. We want to celebrate them. And we want them to know that character matters.

Through scholarships, awards, and other opportunities, The Sheridan Gorman Foundation will recognize young people who demonstrate compassion, courage, inclusion, service, leadership, and heart.

Not necessarily the student with the highest grade. Not always the best athlete. Not the loudest person in the room. Sometimes simply the one who notices the Buddy Bench.
